99 YZF600 progress
It been moving slow around here lately. But things have been progressing. The rear section is almost complete on the bike. Once that is done it will mostly be replacing some of the front end parts that were damaged, the bike was dropped by the previous owner. Nothing major since there will be no plastics on the bike anymore. What was to be a streetfighter is now starting to look more like a modern cafe style. The rear section was made up of old bike racks cut up to get the skeleton of the tail and leftover gas tank metal from my GS750. Oh, and an old muffler for the skin. The name of the bike may be "Chicken Scratch" since it's being pieced together with whatever is laying around the garage. The seat pad was also from the GS750. It was all chewed up from a doggie that got a hold of it. So it was trimmed underneath to sit on the shaved down seat pan on the 600. Glued down and then shaped up with a grinding wheel with a 40grit sanding wheel. So I guess when ya don't have the cash to do what ya want get creative!
