That's it. She finally got taken off the center stand that made it easier to work on, so this is her standing on her own. The carbs where off in this shot. But you can't really see them at this angle and the final touches to the rear cabon fiber wrapped seat are on.
Right side view of the finished seat with the vintage Europeon #7. The number is cut out of the yellow vinyl to show the carbon fiber behind it.
View of the back of the seat. These l.e.d. lights look wicked at night! Oh and there's some road dirt on them tires now. I was able to take it for a nice little run around the neighborhood today.

looks killer, eric. bet she was a blast to roar around with today.
ReplyDeleteThanks T.Yes she was.Just have to get the little adjustments finished up and plan a real ride by this weekend!
ReplyDeletevery nice dude, nice to see someone else working no the xs 500! im nearly finished mine, i just have wiring left to do, any pictures or links to your wiring?
ReplyDeleteCoz,I honestly don't have anything yet on the wiring,or a pic of the finished wire harness I think.
ReplyDeleteI'll get some pics up and try to get a schematic on the wiring on it.i basically made a complete new harness.it can be removed and is color coded so any one can work on it.
hit me up on an e-mail if you got any questions on getting started on the wiring..all depends on what you'll be running on the bike.blinkers, head light, gauges ,horn.you can go basic or crazy like myself..everthing is seperated on the fuse box, front headlight power, running lights on the back lights ,brake lights,so if something goes like the running lights on the rear.you still have a brake light and blinkers and the front headlight also.just makes it better than a single fuse like i have seen on others.which is cool.my kz is a basic setup.i just wanted to make this xs look as if it rolled off an assembly line.
The seat and the bike looks great.. This is my first time to the site. I will be returning. Keep it coming.
