Custom Suzukis = The GS450 bobber and GSF400

All wrapped up and getting tuned up!

Been lazy on the blogging lately. Sorry, but I've finished up the GSF400 and it just getting tuned up in a local shop so I was able to wrap up the bobber. She's 90% finished! Took her out over the weekend for a descent ride and the only issue was I ran outa gas! Not bad in my book.

She's a fun lil ride for a 43hp six speed, even with my big but on it she moves enough to have fun and open her up on the straightaways! The bike only weighs about 300lbs, if that. I can pick it up off the ground. Maybe that would be a good post. HA HA.

The stock open exhaust with the crossover sounds gnarly! The bike reminds me of a bulldog! Little stumpy power plant.

I just have to pull the tank off and refinish it while also trimming the lip off and re-welding. A little nervous on that. My concern is it has to be air tight.

Also the rear tail light is from Dime City Cycles. Website = dimecitycycles.com and will have a review in the next issue of RUSTYMETRIC! A real cool online mag that's only a DOLLAR! A bunch of parts came in, she's been sitting for the last two weeks. But I am almost there. The filters have been installed, check out the staggered look on them. The gold chain installed, front H.I.D headlight and L.E.D. signals installed, you can bareley notice them on the bike.

The exhaust is back together and wrapped up. New brake pads front and back.most of the electric has been cleaned up. Have to mount all the rear lights on the custom rear tail piece, go over the bike again, some small touches throughout the bike, get some new fluids in her and should be ready for some test riding!

Suzuki GSF 400 Bandit update.

The seats were sent out to be recovered, in black Ostrich. Carbs are back on and all the electrical mounting brackets have been installed. Paint is almost done on the rear fairing and tank. The exhaust is being cleaned up and ready to get the black header wrap installed. Almost put back together, still need filter pods and to figure out the lighting on it. And the electric has to be rerouted to hide as much as possible. Let's see where it will be at by next week!



Cleaning up the exhaust, Have to get the rust off and paint prior to wrapping it in black header wrap. The exhaust pipe was cut in half and needs to be redrilled and rivited back together. Still need to re-polish the pipe.

20 dollars for paint ain't bad. including the clear laquer that will be laid on top of the black as the finishing touch, A lot of prep work and wet sanding.

Had to throw em all together today! picture day.

Trying to show the different styles of the bikes, trying to keep each one to its own character. these are the 1st of many more to come! Have 3 more in the garage waiting but i really want to do all styles. it's hard to do something one-off.

There are a lot of really good shops out their building some wicked shit that just blows my mind on the no limits to customizing rule. Not saying I feel I have one off bikes, just taking something and giving it a new look. But in time I think I'll only get better, even with the stress of "is someone is going to buy it?"

These bikes have no customers. I just picked up whatever I could get my hands on before moving down to GA to start this shop, and this is where i'm at after about 6 months of wrenching in the garage.

So it's just me building my ideas of the bike and hoping someone is gonna want one. But no matter what I know I'll always do this as a pro or as a hobby. It's just to kool to take something that looked like shit and giving it a wicked look!
