1975 Kawasaki F11 is all done!

  The last of the decals came in today so threw them on and went to take some pics wit the kids down by the lake.

   The bike is running great and is a blast to kick around. I took it out onto the streets to see where it tops out at and with my bro trailing behind me in his truck it hit a whopping 65mph.. So its not the fastest thing on the road. But you don't need no stinking roads for this toy!

Kawasaki F-11 update

   

 The paint is done on the plastics and tank. The new tires are on the bike. The seat has been recovered. I've gone thru everything on the bike. Fixed the seat latch, seat was just bouncing around before. Replaced some bolts where they were missing. Just alot of cleaning and detailing. Nothing Fancy.

    I started going over the electrics. I had a 7'' H-4 headlight laying around so I got a 7'' round bucket out the junkyard. And an extra L.E.D brake light that I figured I would just throw in. when I went to order a battery it caught my eye that it was only 6 volts. Silly kid.

    So I don't want to stick with the 6 volt system. I am looking up how to convert it over to a 12 volt setup. Found a link online that some guys have done it to a couple different bikes and they had no issues. A universal Moose 12v Regulator? Before I go any further on the bike I want to do a little more research on this upgrade?

     So until then I'll just be waiting on the new rear brake pads, when I pulled the rear tire off one of the pads fell off its housing. maybe just glue it back on? So ya never know what to expect pulling something this old apart. I have some other parts that need a good cleaning and I have to get back on my GS750.

1975 Kawasaki F-11

  So picked up this 1975 Kawasaki F11 on Monday nite, was able to ride it home. I never bought a bike I could just ride off on, so off to a good start. Played with it all day on Tuesday, pretty fun lil scoot!

  She's a beater! things don't work like the lights, speedo,the original tires are still on it. Found the battery melted to the exhaust after some peeking around the bike for further inspection. Even though it needs a good go over its in pretty descent shape overall. So I'm going to clean it up, fix what needs to be fixed. make it street legal again and see if anyone wants a cool kicker. 50 miles to the gallon and you can go anywhere on it.

  Stripped it down Tuesday nite and degreased the shit out of it Wednesday afternoon after getting some parts like the taller shocks on it at the moment. A headlight bucket and an Emgo filter for the carbs.

 The shocks jack the rear up a good 2 1/2 inches!

How the ass of the seat looked and the crooked tail light was just missing some bolts.

Shaved the seat down to hug the lines of the fairing as much as the stock seat allowed.

     What it is kinda gonna look like. Still alot of cleaning up and still need an electric box for the battery and the other stuff. Tires!!! It needs skins man. Gotta paint the plastics and tank, which I also have to repair. and some other things?  we'll see.
