Making "Uni" filters a little more eye appealing.

So the plain Uni filter dosn't look all that great on your bike sometimes. All depending. For instance on the CL450 I'm working on just don't look right with the style of the bike.

So go down to the nearest arts and crafts store and get yourself some picture hanging wire and some wire mesh. It's cheap and you have alot extra for other filters or anything else you may want to use it for. like sifting for gold in the nearest stream.

  So here are the filters.

I didn't take any pictures of the process but it's simple and most likely done before somewhere else. The mesh cuts with a pair of sciccors so no fancy tools either. A child can do it. ex. Me.
So you cut the mesh slightly bigger than needed so you can slide it behind the chrome cap and rubber intake adapter for a nice clean look. Then you basically use the wire to tie the two ends together then done.

One done

both done and looking a whole lot better than stock

changes the whole look
